Pictures of Desert Drawings in Peru

Some Xtra Info on Desert Drwawing Shapes ect.

There appear to be various designs including figures of animals, flowers and plants, objects, and figures of colossal proportions made with well drawn lines. An example of this is the drawing of a weird human with two enormous hands, one normal and the other with only four fingers. Also there are drawings of man made objects such as yarn, looms, ect.
The lines are many miles long and crisscross sections of the desert in all directions. Many of the lines form geometric figures such as angles, triangles, spirals, rectangles, wavy lines, and circles.

Why the Nazca Plain is so Unique

The Nazca plain is unique for its ability to preserve the markings upon it, due to the combination of the climate ,one of the driest on Earth, with the average of only twenty minutes of rainfall per year, and the flat ground which lowers the effect of the wind. With no dust or sand to cover the plain, and little rain or wind to erode it, lines drawn here happen to stay almost undisturbed.

All About Desert Drawings

What is really cool about Peru is that it is the home country to over fifty desert drawings.
Stretching across the Nazca plains, lie the famous Nazca Lines of Peru. Peru is associated with the Incan Civalization who many link with alien visitors who still are believed to interact with local people to this day.
The Nazca Lines are a mystery. No one has proof who built them or why. Since their discovery, the Nazca Lines have inspired amazing explanations from ancient gods, a landing strip for returning aliens, a calendar created by the ancient Nazca civilization, used for rituals probably related to constellations in the sky, or a map of underground water supplies.
There are also huge geoglyphs in Egypt, Malta, United States, Chile, Bolivia and in other countries. But the Nazca geoglyphs, because of their numbers, dimensions and cultural charcteristics, form the most impressive, as well as mysterious, archeological site.
