MY RESULTS AFTER MY RESEARCH ON DESERT DRAWINGS IN THE NAZCA PLAIN, PERU ARE, NO ONE REALLY KNOWS WHO AND WHY MADE THESE MARKINGS. SCIENTISTS WILL CONTINUE TO TRY TO LOOK FOR DNA, BUT THE DRAWINGS ARE TOO OLD.
And the results of my blog are... Some myths suggest desert drawings were created for the Gods to look upon them from above, while others suggest they were some sort of calendar with astronomical features that would help in planting and harvesting of crops. Others have said that the purpose of the lines was not to be looked at, but to be walked upon as a sort of ceremony. The lines have been studied by experts of several kinds. Anthropologists, archaeologists, and astronomers have all studied the lines but no evidence has been found to support any of the explanations. It remains unlikely that we will ever know the true purpose of the lines.

MYTHS ABOUT DESERT DRAWINGS

MYTHOLOGY

The real truth about these drawings really get on the last nerve for scientests. I will tell some of the most believed, popular, and common myths about these outstanding works of art. Some believe that the drawings are a huge calender. One of the longer lines points directly at the setting sun on the day of the winter solstice. Other large lines point at the setting sun on other solstices as well. But this does not explain the images of animals! Well, sort of, it does! When a map of the ancient star constellations is matched up with the figures on the ground, many of them match up to various groups of stars. Not only is this serving as a calendar, but it may also have represented an attempt by the people to contact the gods by creating their own, figures on the ground just as the gods appeared to be doing in the sky. So, maybe UFOs really don't have anything to do with it. There are some who believe these enormous lines could not have been drawn by human, the truth is that with a large number of people and a large period of time it would have been more than possible to make the lines. Some suggest that they were created for the God to look from above the Earth. But, the truth is that it is truly impossible to find the real reason they were made and why.

Pictures of Desert Drawings in Peru

Some Xtra Info on Desert Drwawing Shapes ect.

There appear to be various designs including figures of animals, flowers and plants, objects, and figures of colossal proportions made with well drawn lines. An example of this is the drawing of a weird human with two enormous hands, one normal and the other with only four fingers. Also there are drawings of man made objects such as yarn, looms, ect.
The lines are many miles long and crisscross sections of the desert in all directions. Many of the lines form geometric figures such as angles, triangles, spirals, rectangles, wavy lines, and circles.

Why the Nazca Plain is so Unique

The Nazca plain is unique for its ability to preserve the markings upon it, due to the combination of the climate ,one of the driest on Earth, with the average of only twenty minutes of rainfall per year, and the flat ground which lowers the effect of the wind. With no dust or sand to cover the plain, and little rain or wind to erode it, lines drawn here happen to stay almost undisturbed.

All About Desert Drawings

What is really cool about Peru is that it is the home country to over fifty desert drawings.
Stretching across the Nazca plains, lie the famous Nazca Lines of Peru. Peru is associated with the Incan Civalization who many link with alien visitors who still are believed to interact with local people to this day.
The Nazca Lines are a mystery. No one has proof who built them or why. Since their discovery, the Nazca Lines have inspired amazing explanations from ancient gods, a landing strip for returning aliens, a calendar created by the ancient Nazca civilization, used for rituals probably related to constellations in the sky, or a map of underground water supplies.
There are also huge geoglyphs in Egypt, Malta, United States, Chile, Bolivia and in other countries. But the Nazca geoglyphs, because of their numbers, dimensions and cultural charcteristics, form the most impressive, as well as mysterious, archeological site.
