MYTHS ABOUT DESERT DRAWINGS

MYTHOLOGY

The real truth about these drawings really get on the last nerve for scientests. I will tell some of the most believed, popular, and common myths about these outstanding works of art. Some believe that the drawings are a huge calender. One of the longer lines points directly at the setting sun on the day of the winter solstice. Other large lines point at the setting sun on other solstices as well. But this does not explain the images of animals! Well, sort of, it does! When a map of the ancient star constellations is matched up with the figures on the ground, many of them match up to various groups of stars. Not only is this serving as a calendar, but it may also have represented an attempt by the people to contact the gods by creating their own, figures on the ground just as the gods appeared to be doing in the sky. So, maybe UFOs really don't have anything to do with it. There are some who believe these enormous lines could not have been drawn by human, the truth is that with a large number of people and a large period of time it would have been more than possible to make the lines. Some suggest that they were created for the God to look from above the Earth. But, the truth is that it is truly impossible to find the real reason they were made and why.
